Yes. I am a professionally trained coach and mentor, and I specialise in helping people build confidence, self-belief and courage in the workplace.Individual coaching can support people with challenges such as presentation confidence, influencing skills, difficult conversations, leadership visibility, self-doubt, impostor feelings or navigating a specific workplace situation.Not every coaching assignment starts with the word confidence, but confidence is often part of the picture. We all have our own particular mountain to climb, and coaching gives people the space, structure and support to understand what is holding them back and take practical steps forward.For organisational programmes, I often include one-to-one coaching alongside group training programmes because it helps people embed new habits, apply the learning to their own context and sustain the change over time.

Organisations can measure confidence improvements through a mix of self-ratings, pulse surveys, manager observations, participation in meetings, willingness to speak up, confidence in difficult conversations and evidence of behavioural change. The aim is to track not only how people feel, but how confidently they contribute at work.Because of my background in change management, I often use Toyota A3 thinking to help each person establish a clear baseline and track progress over time. This includes both qualitative and quantitative measures, tailored to the individual.For example, a simple quantitative measure might be:How confident do I feel in a meeting of senior leaders, from 1 to 10?A process measure might be:How many opportunities have I missed to speak up in the last five meetings?An outcome measure might be:How many times have I contributed an idea, challenged constructively or taken visible action that I would previously have avoided?I also use balancing measures, because not every change is entirely positive at first. For example:How much time am I now spending worrying about standing my ground?This matters because confidence should help people act in line with their values, not push themselves into behaviours that create unnecessary stress. Using an A3 makes the change structured, visible and easier to talk through with a supportive line manager, so learning is embedded and sustained.

Managers build confidence by creating trust, listening well, giving clear encouragement and helping people stretch without feeling exposed. Through my Lead to Inspire programme, I help managers understand how their everyday behaviours affect confidence, self-belief, communication and team participation.The goal is not to make people dependent on reassurance, but to help managers create the conditions where team members feel safe enough to contribute, challenge constructively and grow.

It is about building deep, authentic confidence from within.Additionally, all my programmes can include influencing skills, healthy conflict handling and presentation skills to develop key skills on the outside, too.

For online programmes, I usually recommend cohorts of no more than 15 people. This keeps the group small enough for honest discussion, individual reflection and practical coaching, while still creating enough shared experience for people to learn from each other.Smaller cohorts work especially well when participants are building confidence, practising conversations, exploring self-doubt or working on leadership behaviours. The aim is to create a psychologically safe space where people feel able to contribute, ask questions and apply the learning to their own workplace context.For larger organisations, I can discuss running multiple cohorts or working with your in-house learning and development team to help scale the approach.
